Meet the artist — Swati Sinha
Swati Sinha is a contemporary artist and founder of Studio Kavachi, based in Solihull, United Kingdom.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Textile Design from Mumbai, India, and her artistic practice is deeply rooted in a lifelong appreciation for colour, texture, and narrative expression.
Following a career in the corporate sector, Sinha transitioned to a full-time artistic practice in 2019, establishing Studio Kavachi as a dedicated space for creative exploration and expression. Her work is characterised by its vibrant palette, dynamic compositions, and an evocative blend of abstraction and representational forms, often drawing inspiration from nature, florals, and the subtleties of everyday life.
Sinha also welcomes private commissions and works closely with clients to create bespoke artworks tailored to their preferred size, subject, and aesthetic direction. During the Covid-19 lockdown, Sinha organically discovered a passion for teaching. What began as informal online sessions evolved into a key component of her practice. She now conducts structured art classes for children, as well as workshops and courses for adults, offered both in-person and online.
Her teaching approach is engaging and supportive, encouraging participants to develop confidence and joy in their own creative processes. Alongside her educational work, Sinha continues to exhibit at art fairs at prestigious venues, undertake commissions, and collaborate on creative projects throughout the UK and internationally.
