Description

Rachel's sculpture is influenced by many sources, including children's illustrators Arthur Rackham and Beatrix Potter. Like these artists, she pays careful attention to detail in her meticulous creations. Rachel's love of literature, ranging from Grimm's fairy tales to Lewis Carroll and Charles Dickens, is evident in the subject matter of her work. This informs and inspires her pieces, which are full of merriment, charm, and a range of emotions. Her figures are modern and vibrant, but also timeless and nostalgic, with a distinct thread of English humor throughout.
