Always completing his work “on–the-spot” Robert Perry is
well-known for the “mobile studio” a converted van in which he travels widely throughout the UK and Europe, seeking dramatic scenes, subject matter and atmospheric conditions. Influenced by The Impressionists, his insistence on working on location gives his paintings a vigour, immediacy and vigour which studio paintings often lack.
